I start there because I’m going to remind you about the on-campus Internship & Job Fair that we’ll be hosting on Jan. 31st. That may seem like a long time away but you know, as well as I do, that the minute classes start time flies. So I’m telling you now. Classes are starting and there’s a great fair coming up. And you don’t have to wait to be back in the bubble to start prepping for […]

We came across this article from our Alumni Career Services office and wanted to share it as we found it was full of some great information. Alison Doyle, from About.com, got to spend some time time talking with Indeed.com’s co-founder and CEO, Paul Forster, about online job searching and how to get the best results when using a job search engine. Paul suggests that, “Job seekers narrow their search as much as possible in order to find jobs that fit their experience, skills, and desired location.” He goes on to say that it makes sense to “Focus on finding exactly […]

You’ve been working hard and, just like you have to recharge your iPhone, your body needs to recharge its own battery so rest up and don’t feel guilty. At some point of course your parents may start nagging you to get up before 3 pm and people may start asking you […]

Princeton’s Business Today is an independent, student-run non-profit founded by Steve Forbes when he was a Princeton undergrad with the goal of bridging the communication gap between business leaders and college students. Business Today conducts forums for student-executive interaction through four programs: three Conferences per year, the Magazine, the Seminar Series, and the recently-established Online Journal. Another of their most well-known events, an annual Texas Conference, is coming up this February (18-19) and they are looking for more students from Bucknell this year to attend. For the attendees, it’s an all-expense paid 2-day event held at the Hilton Anatole in […]

…go you! But seriously if you are going to be doing an Externship over Winter Break here are a few tips: Make sure you have contacted your sponsor to set up your externship details; like date and time, initial meeting location, directions, parking recommendations, appropriate attire. I bold this for a reason, when in doubt over dress! Suits and business attire always go over well, even in places that may have a more relaxed dress code; jeans, sweatpants, yoga pants not so much. Once all the details are set up – arrive 10 minutes early and HAVE FUN! Take it […]

Welcome Back! We hope you had a great Thanksgiving and tried out some of our Networking tips during the break. If you are still feeling shy we’ve got some helpful tips that may get you over that last bump.
