Families USA’s Villers Fellowship for Health Care Justice

The Villers Fellowship was created in 2005 by Philippe Villers, Families USA’s founder and president. The Villers Fellow will work in our health policy department, supporting the organization’s efforts to improve access to health coverage for all Americans, especially for low-income and other vulnerable constituencies. Their principle responsibility includes conducting primary and secondary research on a range of health care and health reform topics, as well as writing and contributing to publications that are relevant to current health reform issues. Washington Media Scholars Foundation – scholarship and networking opportunities

The Washington Media Scholars Foundation creates scholarship, learning and career advancement opportunities for college students interested in public policy media strategy, research and management. The organization coordinates three programs of varying intensity to carry out this mission: Media Scholars Program: Provides undergraduates with valuable learning, career and scholarship opportunities. Congrats to the 2012 Capitol Hill Internship Fund Recipients!

7 students are the lucky (after a lot of hard work) recipients of a stipend this summer to help them gain experience on The Hill provided through the Capitol Hill Internship Fund. The Capitol Hill Internship Program was established in 2005 to provide internship opportunities in Washington, DC or local Congressional districts for students who are interested in learning more about the Legislative Branch. This program provides a stipend of $300 per week up to a maximum of $3,000 for the summer for students who are able to secure an unpaid, non-credit internship.
