On March 5th Erin Fleischer will be our featured alumna on @BisonINCareers. Erin graduated in 2007 with a double-major in Psychology and Religion. She continued her studies with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania, where she interned at a local hospital as well as a free mental health clinic in Philadelphia.

After graduating, Erin moved to Denver Colorado where she worked at the Adolescent and Family Institute of Colorado, the Eating Disorder Center of Colorado, and the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program. She collaborated with the University of Denver to complete an independent research project that was accepted into the conference for the Eating Disorder Research Society. She recently started a private psychotherapy practice named Thrive Counseling built around her specialties, and is continuing to learn about building a small business from scratch.

Erin says that she loves her job at the Rape Assistance and Awareness Program, and the added challenge of being a businesswoman. Her favorite parts of her job are making a difference in other people’s lives, and educating the community of the issues of sexual assault, as well as healthy body image.

With the free time she does have, Erin enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and camping in Colorado’s gorgeous mountain ranges.
