The Tim Nesvig Internship program at ESPN will give one student athlete an opportunity to gain a broader view of the industry. APPLY ON THE BRIDGE by FEB 21 Description: ESPN is proud to establish an ongoing internship in memory of Tim Nesvig. Tim was 1996 Bucknell graduate, who excelled as a student-athlete. He was awarded the University’s Christy Mathewson Award and earned All-American honors as Captain of the water polo team. According to the most recent National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) study, new college graduates who participate in internship do far better in the job market than graduates who do not have this experience. Furthermore, responding employers indicated that while 31 percent of their new employees came from their own internship programs, 62 percent had internship experience of some kind. The Writers Network is a new initiative at IAC (home of The Daily Beast, CollegeHumor, and Vimeo) that is searching for freelance writers to create paid articles for our network of content sites. Our network gives writers the chance to build a portfolio of published work while writing wherever and whenever they want. The articles range in length from 300-750 words, with pay ranging from $10-$25 per article. Our current topics include Entertaining, Food & Recipes, Outdoor Living, and Decorating.
