LinkedIn & the CDC

LinkedIn has been busy working on new University Pages and Bucknell was one of the first 200 schools to get a page! These pages offer an easy way to find, explore, and discover the career paths of all the Bucknell Alumni on LinkedIn. But before you start doing that you will want to make sure your profile is in top form. That’s why we have several ways to help you perfect your LinkedIn profile.

  1. LinkedIn Basics – Regardless of your class year getting started on LinkedIn is a must! This session will go over basics of building a strong profile and tips on getting started. Students are encouraged to bring laptops to work on profiles during the session. This workshop will be held at Noon in ACWS 115, every 2 weeks on Thursdays, starting Jan 16 until Apr 24 (all workshops are listed on the BRIDGE).
  2. Life After Bucknell: LinkedIn & Your Job SearchSeniors, this series is designed specifically for you as part of our Life After Bucknell program. In this series we’ll teach you how to develop a LinkedIn profile, really use the networking platform in your job, and go deeper into researching companies and exploring career paths. Look for these events (first one is Jan. 17)  and sign up on BRIDGE.
  3. LinkedIn Profile Reviews – stop by, email or call the CDC to make an appointment for a one-on-one LinkedIn profile critique.
  4. LinkedIn Photo Booth – visit our LinkedIn Photo booth during the Internship & Job Fair (1/28) and get a FREE and PROFESSIONAL headshot to use in your LinkedIn profile. Since you will already be suited up there’s no better time.

And of course once your profile is in order make sure to join our Bucknell Alumni Group
