We are up in running with our next alumna to take over @BisonINCareers. Casey Hubert ’10 will be spending her extra day in February (the 29th that is) taking us all through a day in the life of an Interactive Recruiter.
Casey graduated in Bucknell in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Education. After some serious thought, she decided she didn’t want to go back to school but take a stab at something more corporate. Through networking on the BRIDGE, she found a job posting from Mark Marshall ’95 for an Associate Interactive Recruiter job with a small staffing firm in Jersey City. Knowing very little about Interactive or Recruiting, she went on the interview and immediately felt a connection with Mark and the Staffing and Recruiting industry as a whole. In a nutshell, they work to place qualified candidates (such as interactive project managers, web developers and creative) within top tier digital media companies (mostly advertising agencies and technology firms). Mark actually started his own company, called Digitalent, Inc., after Casey had worked for him for about 6 months and asked her and another colleague to join him. Digitalent is now thriving in NYC and although at times it can be stressful, Casey loves the excitement of dealing with different types of people each and every day. Casey says, “It’s a very rewarding job and I love the people that she work with, so I really can’t ask for anything better in a career.” Currently, she lives in Hoboken with Mary Brown ’10, who did a great job tweeting last week!
