Student Conservation Association (SCA) – Trails Intern

Still need an internship? Want to be outside? Then apply to the SCA Trail Intern! Allegheny National Forest consists of 513,000 acres located in the rugged plateau country in the northwestern corner of Pennsylvania. Many creeks and streams cut deeply into the plateau, creating a rolling and sometimes steep topography ranging from 1,046 feet to 2,263 feet above sea level. Perform general trails maintenance and project work, working with the Lead Trails intern as an intern Trail Crew, in conjunction with other SCA crews, or independently. Students who want to explore careers in the non-profit and government sectors have a great resource right here on campus: the Bucknell Public Interest Program (BPIP) and the BPIP Internship Fund. BPIP educates students about non-profit and public service careers, and helps students learn about how to find internships and jobs in these sectors. The BPIP Internship Fund provides financial support for undergraduate students (first-year students, sophomores, and juniors), who have secured full-time, unpaid summer internships with non-profit organization and government offices.
