Congrats to the 2012 Capitol Hill Internship Fund Recipients!

7 students are the lucky (after a lot of hard work) recipients of a stipend this summer to help them gain experience on The Hill provided through the Capitol Hill Internship Fund. The Capitol Hill Internship Program was established in 2005 to provide internship opportunities in Washington, DC or local Congressional districts for students who are interested in learning more about the Legislative Branch. This program provides a stipend of $300 per week up to a maximum of $3,000 for the summer for students who are able to secure an unpaid, non-credit internship. 32 remarkably hardworking students are the happy recipients of a stipend that will help them gain valuable experience from a non-paid internship in the non-profit or public sectors.  The BPIP Internship stipend is funded entirely through the generous donations of alumni, parents and friends of Bucknell. Since it’s founding in 2001, the BPIP Internship Fund has assisted over 200 students in pursuing internship experiences in the public interest sector.
