The Washington Media Scholars Foundation creates scholarship, learning and career advancement opportunities for college students interested in public policy media strategy, research and management. The organization coordinates three programs of varying intensity to carry out this mission: Media Scholars Program: Provides undergraduates with valuable learning, career and scholarship opportunities. 7 students are the lucky (after a lot of hard work) recipients of a stipend this summer to help them gain experience on The Hill provided through the Capitol Hill Internship Fund. The Capitol Hill Internship Program was established in 2005 to provide internship opportunities in Washington, DC or local Congressional districts for students who are interested in learning more about the Legislative Branch. This program provides a stipend of $300 per week up to a maximum of $3,000 for the summer for students who are able to secure an unpaid, non-credit internship.
