Day in the Life: Megan Beecher ’12 Analyst at Hamilton Lane

On September 18th, Megan Beecher ’12 took over @BisonINCareers to tell us about a day in her life as part of Hamilton Lane’s Analyst Development Program. You can read it through storify here.

Megan graduated in May 2012 with a double-major in International Relations and Economics and a minor in Geography. She is currently working for Hamilton Lane, an independent financial firm that provides both discretionary and non-discretionary private-equity asset management to investors. Megan got her job after she met with Hamilton Lane representatives at Bucknell’s on-campus Career Fair, applied through the Bridge and interviewed with them in the fall of her senior year. Megan is now in Hamilton Lane’s two-year Analyst Development Program for recent graduates where she completed six-weeks of training and is now an Analyst on the Product Management team. Being on the Product Management team, she helps manage relationships with those investors who are invested in Hamilton Lane’s funds. She is rather new to the job, but so far she loves the firm’s culture and pace of work, and she realizes that she has an exciting (but challenging!) two years ahead of her.

At Bucknell Megan was involved in her sorority, GlobeMed and the Bucknell Brigade. She also worked at the Career Development Center on campus for three years as a Peer Specialist. Now that she is living in Philadelphia, Megan is spending all of her free time exploring her new city and enjoying the last bits of warm weather by being outside as much as possible!
