Students are invited to join Brendan McCord, Senior Advisor for Artificial Intelligence (AI), Department of Defense, for an informal conversation about his work on the intersection of AI and national security before his National Security Forum Lecture titled “Transforming the U.S. Department of Defense” at 7 pm in the ELC Forum, Thursday, Feb 28.

McCord is an expert on AI and national security who helped launch the Joint Ai Center and was Head of Machine Learning at the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental at the Department of Defense. He is also an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, and he served as a fast attack submarine officer in the US Navy.
Make sure you also attend the lecture McCord is giving later that night (Thursday 2/28) at 7 pm titled, “Transforming the U.S. Department of Defense” which will be held in the ELC Forum.
