Career Talk with Assoc Editor of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Come join us for a career talk Q&A with Pilar Garcia-Brown, an accomplished editor at a New York press.

This event will take place at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 3 in the Willard Smith Library (Vaughan Lit). 

Coffee, tea, and cookies will be provided; RSVP on the Bridge preferred.

This promises to be an informative session for anyone interested in how to get short stories, novels, and nonfiction published, how to start a career in the publishing world, and what it’s like to work as a woman in publishing.

Pilar Garcia-Brown’s focus is on literary fiction and essays — she’s worked on books by Angela Flournoy, Gina Ochsner, Samantha Hunt, Carina Chocano, and Chinelo Okparanta, among others. Previously, she’s worked in marketing at Open Road Integrated Media and as the Bookstore Manager of Las Dos Brujas Writers Conference.
