This week’s topic for our CDC Intern picks are about opportunities in education!

  1. HOPE Christian Schools Teaching Fellow – Apply by Feb 8
  2. UP Education Network Teacher – Apply by Marcy 1

HOPE Christian Schools, based out of New York City, is looking for teaching fellows from any educational background to serve a one year commitment during which the candidate will hone their teaching skills alongside seasoned teachers. The Teaching Fellow will develop lesson plans, assist teachers, substitute teach, and pay special attention to individual students. Preferred candidates have some background in teaching, but anyone with great communication skills and a desire to make an impact on inner-city children should apply.

  • The deadline is February 8th and you can apply via the Bridge, which will take you to the application form.

UP Education Network is an education placement network based in Boston, Massachusetts that places applicants in under-performing city schools to help boost them to the national average. The Network places teachers, school operations personnel, and student support workers in order to help these schools operate efficiently. There are many open opportunities, and applying with a resume on the Bridge by March 1st automatically secures a location interview with a placement official.

  • Apply by March 1st on the Bridge
