Bard College Master of Arts in Teaching

general-one-pager-useThe BardMAT Program is a graduate teacher education program leading to a master’s degree and teacher certification (grades 7-12). The Program combines graduate coursework in the subject area with graduate coursework in education and teaching placements in area public schools. The program can be completed in one-year (full-time) or two-years (part- time). Master’s degrees and certification offered in English/literature,  history/social studies,  math, or biology. A pure major in the subject area is not required, but transcript reviews for non majors are strongly encouraged.
2017-18 Application Cycle:
Our application portal for 2017-18 is now open and we will be accepting applications through April 28, 2017, with an early decision deadline of January 30, 2017. Interested students should email me directly, and visit our website for more information and to access the online application.
Scholarship Opportunities:
Scholarships are available to all qualified students. Fellowships are available for students returning from the PeaceCorps or who have finished their service with AmeriCorps. We are also proud to partner with the Yellow Ribbon Program for Veterans.
