Arrive NO LATER than 11:30am to Herald Square 151 W. 34th St (Executive Entrance) and CDC staff member will be waiting for you.

AGENDA:

  • 11:45-12:15 Welcome & Company Overview with Holly Julian, Manager, College Relations
  • 12:15-12:45 Lunch & Networking with Andy Cox ’05, Group Vice President, Merchandise Planning
  • 12:45-1:30 Alumni Executive Panel on Macy’s Omnichannel Strategy; meet Macy’s corporate employees and learn about their career paths.
  • 1:30-3:00 HSQ Store Tour – be ready for a unique opportunity to see more than just Macy’s store: you will also visit offices, creative spaces, merchandise storage and more.
  • 3:00 Conclude Tours and wrap up

Be prepared to hear about Macy’s key business strategies and come with questions for presenters throughout the day and the panel.

Prepare for your Trip: Job Knowledge & Macy’s Brand:

  1. Job Knowledge: Research the Merchant Buying/Planning roles, gain a basic understanding of the role competencies & job responsibilities. Get job overviews on Macy’s website Careers After College
  2. Macy’s Brand: Get a feel for the Company’s culture & brand through a variety of the online forums/social profiles that will help you research including Macy’s virtual pressroom, Youtube videos, Facebook Page, Linkedin “Macy’s Student Network” Group, and @macyscollege Twitter Feed
