1 Solidarity Center Communications Intern – Apply by Feb 29

2 Russell Reynolds Associates Entry Level Customer Training Professional – Apply by Feb 28

The first position is an internship with Solidarity Center, which is a non-profit international worker rights organization located in Washington, D.C. that assists workers around the world who are striving to achieve safe and healthy workplaces, family-supporting wages, social protections and a voice on the job.

The internship is a great fit for students interested in public policy, as you will be covering and reporting on congressional hearings, NGO meetings and news from other countries that are relevant to the Solidarity Center’s mission. You’ll also become a better communicator and assist with digital design too, as you’ll be working with the organization’s daily news clipping service, you’ll be writing news stories and you’ll assist with developing Solidarity Center’s website. Students that are passionate about global economic development issues, human rights and public policy can find more details on the Bridge. This internship would also be a great avenue to apply to the Bucknell Public Interest Program Internship Fund.

The second position, a full-time job, combines communication with traveling. As an Entry Level Customer Training Professional with Russell Reynolds Associates, you’ll be traveling to customers and advising them through the process of installing Reynolds and Reynolds  software. The company provides document and software solutions to the automotive industry, solving dealerships’ problems related to parts, service, accounting and sales.

In this role, being an effective communicator is crucial, as most of your work will be directly with clients. Whether it is delivering a presentation on how to install and convert software, best practices or on troubleshooting a particular dealership’s issues, you are the primary line of communication between Reynolds & Reynolds and partner dealerships. You will be traveling to clients, which means that you will spend roughly 80% of time at work as a traveler. Many people enjoy the perks of traveling, such as being able to regularly visit new places , particularly before they settle down in a location. So if you are a people person and enjoy the prospect of traveling, you can apply for this opportunity on the Bridge.
