Tastykake & Hershey: A field trip for your taste-buds!

We’ve got another great field trip on October 21st for you centering around sustainability. I know what you are thinking, “Tastykake and Hershey for sustainability?” But we are serious. Did you know that Tastykake is a green bakery? Tastykake took what started as an abandoned industrial site and earned it LEED Silver Certification. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and it is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED is a rating system for green buildings. Once we’ve got our fill of krimpets we’ll take a trip to the sweetest place on earth and learn about Hershey Corps Corporate Social Responsibility department.

So my advice to you would be to workout on Monday and join us for this awesome trip on Tuesday! (Time off campus will be 7am until 7:30pm)

Here are more details, but more importantly here is where to sign up (by 10/14)- space is limited to 20!: http://bucknell.experience.com/stu/public_event_profile?event_hnd=464887
