This week Sophie stays local with her peer picks:

1. Local Tech Startup: Cruchbutton Student Deliverer and Marketer

2. TapSongz Writer and Contributor

For this week’s peer pick, I chose to highlight a local company that is offering a part-time, paid internship to anyone regardless of major! Located in Lewisburg, PA, Crunchbutton is seeking motivated students to deliver food and to learn more about marketing this fall! If you are equipped with a car, bike, have good people skills and lots of energy, and are more than ready to network, hand out materials, and take the time to truly learn from customers – this could be the internship for you! Crunchbutton is a one-click food ordering startup with a passion for simplicity and a belief that even the laziest people should be able to partake in the finest delivery food that this great nation has to offer. That being said, this opportunity will allow you to converse often with its founders and CEO and learn how things operate at a tech startup first-hand. If you are looking for a wonderful way to round out your college experience, get a little extra spending money, and to also get a glimpse into tech startup and marketing, do not hesitate to apply on the BRIDGE by Monday, October 20th!

Another local internship in Lewisburg is readily available for those of you who are interested in music and social media! TapSongz wants a writer and contributor for its team that would be responsible for contacting PR companies, artist managers, and record labels to line up interviews with artists. Your interview would eventually turn into a feature article and promotion opportunity for the artist on the TapSongz website. This internship is extremely flexible and informal in terms of hours. Tap Songs seeks out hard-working, dedicated students who are interested in the music industry, who want to forge connections within the industry, interview some of their favorite artists, hone writing skills, build a brand through social media and marketing, and also attend music festivals as a media outlet! Do not forget to apply on the Bridge by Monday, October 27th on the BRIDGE, as well as sending a resume and small paragraph on how you would contribute to the TapSongz team to tapsongz@gmail.com!
