For this week’s peer pick I decided to choose another couple of companies that will be visiting campus this Fall: The Children’s Place is here for Expo and Merck will be visiting campus in October for an info session.

1. Merck Internships – 9/26 Deadline

2. The Children’s Place Fall Internship Program – 9/29 Deadline

Merck is a global health care leader with a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines and consumer health products, as well as animal health products. If you are currently a junior who is majoring in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Chemistry with an analytical focus, then this could be the ideal, 10-12 week long summer internship for you! There are opportunities in West Point, PA; Danville, PA; Rahway, NJ; Kenilworth, NJ; Elkton, VA; Durham, NC; and Wilson, NC. If this sounds like something you could see yourself getting into, be sure to apply on the BRIDGE by Friday, September 26th!

Merck Internships – 9/26 Deadline – Merck will also be here for an info session on 10/6 so mark your calendars to follow up your application with a good impression and meet them in person.

Although there is a heavily weighted presence of engineering internships coming up, that is not all we have to offer. The Children’s Place is offering a fall internship opportunity for those of you who love fashion! This paid internship is located in Secaucus, New Jersey at the corporate headquarters and is for twelve weeks. The program seeks to introduce you to the inner workings of a specialty retailer through hands-on learning and interaction with senior management. During your time with the Children’s Place, you will be paired with a peer resource to assist you with any questions that you have. You wil advance your learning and professional development as well as gain greater insight into the multitude of career opportunities such as in design, merchandising, planning and allocation, finance, accounting, global sourcing, and logistics and distribution. If you have an overall GPA of 3.2 or better, are able to prioritize projects and multitask, can exhibit strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills, and have an interest in a career in the retail industry – do not forget to apply on the BRIDGE by Monday, September 29th and to visit the Children’s Place booth at the Employer Expo!
