1. Barteca Internships in Marketing Dept; HR Department; Recipe Design and Workshopping

2. Massey Knakal 10-week summer internship program

This week, I found an internship that caters to those interested in going into marketing, human resources, or even recipe design and work-shopping in Norwalk, Connecticut. For those of you who are local and seek to assist department heads in one of these several, major initiatives – this could be your foot in the door. Barteca is known to “create restaurants where great food and attentive service are fun, stylish, and accessible”, as maintained on their website. For instance, one of their famous restaurants is called Barcelona Wine Bar & Restaurant. This establishment is a Spanish tapas bar that offers small plates of food using the finest seasonal picks from local markets and unusual specialties from Spain and the Mediterranean. It also has won awards for its an extensive selection of wines from Spain and South America and is one of the largest importers of Spanish wines in the United States. Another famous restaurant they own is Bartaco, which brings upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed and stylish environment. The cuisine is rooted in the Mexican tradition but pulls from a broad palate of bold, spicy flavors from Asia, the Mediterranean and beyond. Their juices are fresh and uniquely blended to fulfill everyone’s various tastes! If you are interested, are self-motivated, smart, and are able to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes unstructured environment then this could be the perfect internship for you! It also is paid and part-time, which gives you the freedom to explore other options over the summer without burning a hole in your pocket. Do not forget to apply on the BRIDGE by Monday, February 3rd!

My second peer pick is an internship at Massey Knakal in New York, New York for those who are intrigued by the world of real estate. They are on the hunt for ambitious students to help assist with their top corporate and high net worth client base and to have a chance to learn the ins and outs of the real estate industry. They are hoping to recruit motivated, disciplined, and determined individuals who exhibit the desire to be part of a team atmosphere and will enjoy an opportunity to learn about selling New York’s finest buildings. Expected tasks will consist of developing and maintaining their marketing campaign, discovering and tracking available listings, completing evaluations of market trends, preparing documents supporting valuations and learning the property evaluation process, researching commercial property details using several databases and on-line sources, managing the networking system, photographing all lots of assigned territory, creating marketing materials such as postcards, creating and maintaining comparable sales and lease data, and finally, completing administrative duties.
