Road Trips to the Real World – Registration Open

EACE_RT_Poster13WHERE WILL YOU BE DURING JANUARY BREAK? If you will be in the eastern region, from Maine down through Virginia, take advantage of the Road Trips to the Real World program, a series of employer site visits from January 6 – 17, 2014. This is your opportunity to get your foot in the door, literally, of participating employers, many of whom come to campus to recruit or list jobs and internships on the BRIDGE. Space is limited so sign up right away – some sites, spots fill up VERY quickly.  The registration deadline is November 30, 2013, at www.eace.org.

At each site, you will get an in-depth look at how the business operates and see firsthand the potential jobs that are available. You will also network with employees and get a head start on your career choice. This is an opportunity you do not want to miss!

Who: Students who are interested in exploring career field opportunities. Open to any student attending a college or university that is a member of the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers (EACE)

What:  An opportunity for students to learn first hand about a career field, network with employees and explore internship and job opportunities.

Where: From Maine to Virginia and points in between (Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Pittsburgh, Portland, and Washington, DC, just to name a few).

When: Registration is open from November 1 – 30, but sign up early as space is limited. Site visits take place from January 6 – 17, 2013. View the schedule and register at www.eace.org. (Select Programs & Services from the menu bar, then click Road Trips on the left navigation)

Why It will help you to think about life after college and the career paths that are available. After all, it is never too early to start thinking about your career!

The Road Trips cost $10.00 per site. Students must provide their own transportation to and from the site, and are responsible for any incidental expense they may incur.
