Jobs and Internships in the Arts Panel
Monday, November 4 | 5:30-6:30 pm| Bucknell Hall

Panelists will speak about their internships and jobs in the Arts and provide tips on how to locate and secure work opportunities in the arts.

Panelists:

  • Sarah Battle ’14, Majors: Art History, Education
    Internships: Smithsonian American Art Museum, Samek Art Gallery, Baltimore Museum of Art
    Sarah is one of the co-founding members of the Gallery Engagement Team (GET), a student organization that acts as the student liaison for the Samek Art Gallery by engaging students with exhibitions, lectures, and programs. GET also creates its own programs to foster a better relationship between the students and the local art community.
  • Haley Clark ’10, Majors: Art & Art History, Economics
    Sotheby’s Art Auction House
    Haley Clark works in Sotheby’s Proposals department, a division of Business Development that is focused on sourcing works of art for auction and private sale. In her role, Haley conducts research and analysis of art market data. Prior to joining Sotheby’s full-time in 2010, she interned in Sotheby’s Silver department and at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Australia.
  • Margaret Graham ’09, Majors: Art History and English (Creative Writing)
    Art writer, Arts administrator, & Registrar
    Margaret graduated from Bucknell in 2009 with a BA in Art History and Creative Writing and went on to receive her MFA in Art Criticism and Writing from the School of Visual Arts. Since moving to NYC in 2010, Margaret has contributed her talents to a myriad of arts institutions, including the Frieze Art Fair, the New York Public Library, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New Museum, ArtNEWS, and The Brooklyn Rail.
  • Leigh Mozes ’07, Major: Art History
    Freelance Art Advisor
    Leigh Mozes majored in art history and graduated from Bucknell in 2007.  Her first job after school was at the Mary Boone Gallery in New York, where she served as personal assistant to Mary Boone.  She left the gallery in the Fall of 2011 and has since been working as a freelance art advisor.
