Homecoming Alumni Panels, Lunches, and Networking

Homecoming is about more than just football games and tailgates, it’s also about alumni coming back and chances to network and learn. Before kickoff make sure you check out these great chances to meet and connect with alumni returning to campus.

  1. Understanding the Federal Hiring Process Lunch
    Thursday, Oct. 24 | Noon | Willard Smith Library, Vaughan Lit
    Lunch provided, BRIDGE sign up by October 23
    Raj Thangavelu ’98, Financial Database Specialist, Federal Housing Finance Agency, will discuss the federal hiring process and give pointers on creating a federal resume and how to use the USAJOBS.gov website. Raj will be joined by Olesya Minina ’14, who had a paid Pathways Internship last summer with the General Services Administration and was offered a full time position as a Financial Management Specialist following graduation in 2014. Raj will also be available for mock interviews or resume reviews in the afternoon, sign up on the BRIDGE for these.
  2. International Relations Career Panel & Lunch

    Lunch provided, BRIDGE sign up by October 23
    Sue Tonking ’89 and Kate Palmer ’11 will discuss their careers and share their insights on the world of work. Sue is Assistant Director of Professional Development at the law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York. Kate is an Advisory Associate at KPMG in New York.
  3. Connections for Engineers: Majors & Careers
    Friday, October 25 | 3 – 4:30 | Larison Dining Hall
    Encouraged for students who are enrolled in Engineering 100. The annual Connections program provides you with the opportunity to meet with alumni who graduated from Bucknell with the engineering specialty area that you are considering or most interested in.
