Film and Media Studies Field Trip to Motion Picture Enterprises

Interested in a career in Film/Media and networking with professionals? Sign up for the April 12 Film Media Studies Field Trip and Panel in NYC sponsored by the Career Development Center.

Here’s the plan:

– 8:00 AM- leave campus (ouch I know early – get to D&D early for your coffee because there’s a crazy line in the am!)
– Arrive at Motion Picture Enterprises – take a tour and talk with Neal Pilzer, CEO
– Hungry? Great we’re having lunch in the penthouse area from 12:30-1:00
– After lunch you will be treated to this great group of panelists:

  • Kristen Bucaria ’11-Associate Producer at MSNBC
  • Kerry Stewart’00- Freelancer for Tribeca Cinemas, Freelancer working in the middle east
  • Jason Janego ‘94-Co-President, RADiUS-TWC-The Weinstein Company (we hope he’s still tentative)rosaandgrace

– When the panel finishes up you will have some time to do some networking with panelists and other alumni in attendance – read: AWESOME
– At 3:30 you will enjoy a film screening if Sally Potter’s Ginger & Rosa
– After the movie (and maybe some popcorn?) we will have dinner in the city; students will be asked to pay $10 towards their meal
– After dinner, with full bellies and perhaps cards from each panelist to follow up with, we’ll head back to Lewisburg and get back to campus around midnight or perhaps a little earlier.

All you need to do now is register by April 7 (that’s one week away!)

Please note you will be missing classes all day Friday, April 12 for this trip. It is your responsibility to receive approval from professors to miss class in order to attend the trip. Contact Missy Gutkowski at mmg019@bucknell.edu with questions.
