Follow Sarah on @BisonINCareers on Jan. 23 to learn more and ask questions.
Sarah Block graduated summa cum laude in May 2011 with a double major in History and Spanish, and is now a second year law student at The George Washington University Law School (@gwlaw). She lives in Washington, DC near lots of other Bucknellians, including many of her fellow first-year SoJo hallmates.
At Bucknell, Sarah completed a thesis titled “Stratified Boston: The Brahmins, the Irish and the Boston Police Strike of 1919,” which earned her Honors in the Department of History and, among other things, helped to inspire her interest in a legal career. During her time in Lewisburg, she served as the Associate Editor of Layout and as a multi-year member of the editorial board of The Bucknellian, the President of Hillel, and a TA in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. Additionally, she participated in the Social Justice Residential College and studied abroad in Granada, Spain with Bucknell en España.
At GW Law, Sarah is a member of the Federal Circuit Bar Journal, on the executive board of the Art Law & Entertainment Society (ALES), and serves as a mentor to first-year law students. In addition to taking classes, she currently holds a semester-long internship working with administrative judges in the Office of Dispute Resolution for Acquisition at the Federal Aviation Administration. Sarah spent the summer of 2012 working in the Public Interest Division of the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, and she hopes to pursue a career in civil litigation.
