I don’t know about you but Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday – just a day centered around great food and taking a moment to appreciate everything we have, large or small. This year we are giving you another reason to give thanks: access to over 48,000 alumni connections!
So starting today (November 12) you now all have automatic access to the Alumni Directory in B-Link. You can use this directory to make connections do industry research, set up informational interviews or the Thanksgiving and Winter breaks, or ask how a certain city is to live in! To make the most of this resource we suggest you read our tips on reaching out effectively to alumni.
If you have never logged in to B-Link before you will need to do a few extra steps:
- Go to B-Link: www.b-link.bucknell.edu
- Click “first time login” (upper left corner)
- Type your last name and click find
- Find your name and click on button next to your name, click next.
- Enter your Bucknell ID (8 digits) click verify
- Your profile appears, edit as necessary
- Create your username and password (middle of the page)
- Terms and conditions, click yes…we trust you’ll read them later
- Go to the bottom of the screen and save
Then make sure you check out the:
- Alumni Directory – searchable by industry, major, employer, location, extracurricular activities, etc.
- Career Advisor Volunteer Search – this search function allows you to access a database of alumni who have specifically indicated their willingness to be contacted by students for career advice
