Alumni Talk and Lunch: Federal Hiring – Understanding the Process

Ali (Zimmerer) Rivera ’08, Contract Specialist, Department of Homeland Security will be back on campus for Homecoming and is hosting a talk and luncheon outlining the Federal Hiring Process on Friday, October 21 at Noon in the Willard Smith Library (Vaughn Literature Building).

Ali  will discuss the federal hiring process and give pointers on creating a federal resume and how to use the USAJOBS.gov website using her own account to walk you through the process.  The Library is reserved until 4:00 pm, so you can come by anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 pm with your resume and questions.  Lunch will be provided, please sign up on the BRIDGE by October 20.

Ali majored in International Relations and Spanish. During her years at Bucknell, she had internships at the Department of State, Washington, DC, the US Embassy in Santiago, Chile, and at the Department of Commerce, Washington, DC.
