In this article Debra explains, “It is normal and expected that you will be slightly nervous. The art of listening should not be diminished! Oftentimes, people tend to talk more when they are nervous. During an interview this can work against you.” She goes on to explain the other problem with failing to listen, “you may miss some important clues or red flags related to the company or the job.”
