My Experience:

As the intern in the UN Office for Partnerships I helped organize meetings and conferences at the United Nations, attended meetings, wrote reports on past and upcoming events, editing the Annual report.

What is the most interesting or important thing you took from your Internship this summer?

I took so much from my experience!  I learned about the United Nations and at the same time learned how a business actually works.  I learned that for the United Nations to be successful and fulfill its charter, it requires trust from the world community.  Governments, NGOs and individuals have a huge role in helping the UN accomplish the MDGS.  The United Nations is an organization which brings together the world, and it needs help to do so.

How did the BPIP Fund help make your experience possible?

It allowed me to have this internship! As it was full time, I would not have had time to take on an additional job to pay my expenses.

Would you recommend the BPIP Fund?

Absolutely! There were only benefits from this experience — mI met alumni, saw another side to Bucknell and enjoyed my summer!

Other comments:

I had the most surreal experiences on a daily basis-attending General Assembly meetings, meeting Ambassadors, etc.  I learned more this summer than I ever could have imagined.

Don’t miss your chance to get the funds you need to follow your dreams; application deadline is March 21st
