Our career center has been awarded the Gold level of certification from OUT for Work.
What does that mean? Well for one it means that we’ve been recognized as a good career center 🙂
The certification evaluates us on three main criteria:
- Gauge the current tools and available resources focused on how to be “out” in the workplace.
- Assess the quality and quantity of LGBTQ materials available to students
- Assess the willingness of career centers to host or attend LGBTQ & Ally career conferences
Certification includes access for our students to the LGBTQ Career Resources Library, which serves as a one stop location for everything LGBTQ career related: job searching, resumes, interviews, coming out at work, etc. The library houses books, magazines, links, videos all at your fingertips.
