Remember that scene in The Social Network when the Winklevi are rowing at Henley? And they hear that someone at Oxford has Facebook? And they get really mad because Facebook has caught on so much it jumped continents? Right. So what’s my point? Well Dee-Lite sang it best when they came at you from the “global village…in the age of communication,”‘ but my point is a little less lyrical. What is my point you ask? Yes, I’m getting to that. My point is: it’s very easy to stay connected! We know that internet access may be less accessible at times and we know that when you do get it the first thing you will do is probably check Facebook…and that’s why WE ARE ON Facebook. So, even if you are going abroad you can still stay connected to the CDC wherever you are studying. Why, you ask would you want to do this? Well, to find out what’s going on, to see what employers are listing jobs and internships, to ask us any questions, to get in touch to get your resume reviewed and figure out how to showcase your experience abroad to set you apart from the applicant pool, because I write posts with Zoolander, Will Smith, Barney Stinson, The Hangover, The Social Network and Paul Simon so you never know what you can miss!
