Codebreaking With World’s Foremost Authority (An Alum!)

Visit the National Cryptologic Museum (the National Security Agency’s principle gateway to the public) with Dr. David Kahn ’51, a historian of intelligence, particularly of communications intelligence, or code breaking, who is widely regarded as the world’s (or the planets!) leading expert on the history of codes and cryptology. Dr. Kahn will be available to entertain questions and engage in informal discussion of cryptology and code breaking during and after lunch. Alumni are invited to this event, as well, and there will be time for interactions, Q&A, as well as touring the museum, which is located adjacent to NSA headquarters.

This trip is being hosted by Dr. Sally Botsai ’57, a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO) who served in NSA, and represented the NSA in the White House Situation Room (the first NSA woman to do so).

The cost of the trip is $10 (includes entrance to the museum and lunch)
Mandatory Prep Session will be held on Monday, April 12th at 5:30pm in ELC 241

*Bus Transportation will be provided. Leaving Bucknell (by Weis Center parking lot) promptly at 8:00 am A $20 refundable deposit for the bus is required. All payments need to be made in person to Kay Heimbach / Alumni Relations Office.
