Teach For America–Second Deadline Coming Up!

Fourth graders growing up in low-income communities are already, on average, 3 grade levels behind their more affluent peers. Only 1 in 10 of these same students will graduate from college.

What will you do to change this?

Teach For America is looking for outstanding recent college grads & graduate students of ALL academic majors, to join our movement in eliminating the educational disparities that exist in our nation between low-income communities and our more affluent areas. Our corps members do this by using their skills and commitment to make a real impact on the academic prospects of students growing up in low-income communities, and by exerting long term leadership in the effort to eliminate educational inequity. Teach For America corps members earn a full salary (up to $47,000/year) and benefits, work in 1 of 35 urban and rural regions across the country, and no prior experience is required.

Our SECOND application deadline is WEDNESDAY, OCT. 28th. The application is available entirely online at www.teachforamerica.org.

P.S. Worried that 2 years is too long to “take off”? Check out information about our graduate school partnerships, employer partnerships, and school leadership initiative to learn more about the work our alumni do in the long-term to effect change on the macro level.
