Meet our Peer Specialist Staff!

Starting on today we began welcoming our staff of 19 students back from summer break. After 2 days of intense training these eager students will be ready to assist you with resume and cover letter critiques, help with the resources we have to offer, or will schedule an individual appointment with a counselor for you. Stop in, say “Hi,” and get to know the student faces of the CDC. Peer walk-in hours are M-F, 10-4:30.

The Word On The Street Is…

Employers are digging up your digital dirt As the social networking phenomenon continues to spread, more employers are utilizing these sites to screen potential employees. CareerBuilder’s latest survey found that 45% of employers reported they use social networking sites to research job candidates; that’s a big jump from 22% last year. Anna Platt ’07, currently working as a Legislative Correspondent for Senator Arlen Specter, will be returning to campus with Senator Specter, who will be holding an Open House Town Hall on Tuesday, August 11th at 3:45pm in Trout Auditorium at Bucknell.
