We are back from our various holiday vacations and the office is already in full swing. Many students are currently doing externships or JanPlan. Alumni, student launch sustainable energy venture

Eclipse Solar LLC, started by Craig Dwyer ’10, Eric Diamond ’09 and Drew Willey ’09, is a result of the School of Management‘s business venture competition. Dwyer and Diamond entered the contest with an eye on the $5,000 prize, and decided on a solar energy sales and installation venture and wrote a business plan focusing on government incentives as a selling point for solar energy systems. Dwyer and Diamond placed fourth in the competition and were inspired to pursue the idea. AlumniAthlete Network Wall Street Internship Program

The AlumniAthlete Network Wall Street Internship Program is a 10-week summer internship program targeted to collegiate sophomores and juniors who have shown a commitment to intercollegiate athletics and academics excellence. The program began in the summer of 2004. Since that time, we have placed more than 200 student-athletes at major Wall Street firms including Bank of America, Citi, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and UBS. Next semester the CDC will be hosting our annual Internship Fair, the Communications and Arts Fair, the DC Career Fair, and numerous employer presentations, interviews, and events. If you do not already have a suit and appropriate business attire at Bucknell you are highly encourage to assure you bring a suit and business attire back with you from winter break. Terms to Know for Grad School Finance

Are you familiar with the following terms for financing your graduate education? Fellowships: typically granted to individuals to cover their living expenses while they carry out research or work on a project. Awards may be single or multiple-year. Awards are usually based on an individual’s merit as measured by grades, GRE scores, publications, and letters of recommendation.
