Peer Picks: Arena Stage & U.S. Supreme Court

vladThis week peer picks from Vladimir ’16:

1. Arena Stage

2. U.S. Supreme Court Internship Program

Spring break is almost here! This means that not only will you have time to relax and get together with friends and family but also spend more time to apply for those dream summer internships you’ve been thinking about. For this week we are going to explore in a couple new directions: the worlds of arts and law.

Arena Stage, one of America’s major regional theaters, is offering an internship through its Allen lee Hughes Summer Program. Any student who has an interest in the administration, technical production or promotion in arts should apply! There are a variety of positions available, including that of Management Intern, Community Engagement Intern and Production Intern. A full list is available at on the Arena Stage website. The internship takes place in Washington D.C. during the summer of 2015 as is compensated through a stipend. The application is due on 3/10 by email.

Interested in the judicial field? I can’t think of a better way to get exposure to this field than through the Judicial Internship Program offered by the U.S. Supreme Court. Working in the role of a Judicial Intern means conducting background research for briefings; drafting correspondence; collecting tracking and summarizing relevant news articles. You may also have the opportunity to observe Court sessions and attend lectures and conferences or educational luncheons. The internship is unpaid but is eligible for receiving academic credit.
