Bucknell has often been referred to as a bubble. It is a campus filled with brick buildings, athletic facilities and breath-taking views of the Pennsylvania landscape. Within these warm brick buildings are numerous services provided by the University in an effort to burst this bubble. Of these services, the best is arguably the Bridge.
The Bridge is more than a job application site. Its name truly suits its function as it connects Bucknell undergraduate students to Alumni, career-oriented campus events, and professional opportunities that reach far beyond the Lewisburg city limits. Even more so, the Bridge is easily accessible and constantly updated. This user-friendly site offers a detailed calendar, focused job search options, and a secure place to build one’s portfolio. Bucknell undergraduates can upload documents such as resumes, cover letters or writing samples and then submit them to multiple employment opportunities within seconds. CDC Peer Recruiting Specialists also remind students of upcoming employment deadlines and campus events through the Bridge, and serve as an outlet for undergraduate students to ask career-oriented questions via recruiting@bucknell.edu.
So, whether you are a sophomore applying for an externship, a junior applying for an internship or a senior applying for a full-time opportunity, the Bridge is one of your means of landing the position you earned from studying as an undergraduate at Bucknell.
