Travel to NYC, October 30, 2018 for a site visit at USA Today prior to the Communications, Arts and Entertainment Fair, where you will learn about the overall industry/field, learn about the different roles within the company/agency, and make contacts with in these organizations. To participate in the field trip, you MUST APPLY on the Bridge by do the following steps:
- Search for USA Today NYC Field Trip under Jobs/Internships/Externships Tab – Discover section or in Search Bar.
- Submit your resume that will be shared with the company(s) HR and Host
- Submit 3 questions for the company(s) and submit as “Other” document. You will need to have a resume and 3 questions prepared and uploaded to your profile before you can move forward and hit “apply”
- Plan to attend one (of the two offered) mandatory prep sessions:
- Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 4pm in ELC Gallery Theater
- Friday, Oct. 26 at Noon in ELC Gallery Theater
- Bring your $20 refundable bus deposit to the prep session. Liability forms must also be completed.

9:30 am – Bus leaves Bucknell by Football Stadium for NYC
2:00 pm – Arrive at USA Today Network
2:15 – 3:45 pm – Welcoming Remarks & Intro to USA Today from Andy Yost ’89 followed by staff/alumni panel discussing career paths & functions
4:00 – 4:30 pm – HR Presentation
6:00 pm – Attend Communications, Arts and Entertainment Fair – you need to sign up for this separately
8:15 pm – Leave to return to campus
