Recycling is good for your career…

Well I can’t entirely make this connection but there is no denying that it is good and so is being part of something new…so  go to this “New Off-Campus Recycling Program” TODAY!

Friday April 16th there will be a test run for a new off campus recycling program that will be likely added next year. This program consists of student groups and volunteers manning a trailer behind the Bull Run where students can sort/drop off all their recycling. The trailer will be open for drop-offs from 3-5pm this Friday afternoon.

Currently, the options available to off-campus students are limited to driving to the Lewisburg recycling center on their own or leaving recycling out, fully sorted, one day each month. If all goes well, however, this new program will happen every Friday afternoon starting next Fall.

This new project is a huge improvement to the system currently in place because it is much more accessible and encourages more off campus students to participate. Please stop by and bring all of your recyclables. The more success we have this Friday the more likely this will be a full-scale program next year.

It is critical that off-campus students have better access to and use recycling programs. This is a strong step in the right direction and we look forward to a great deal of student support.

This event is sponsored by the Office of the Chief of Staff. If you have any questions about the event or are interested in becoming more involved with the project next year please contact Katie Williamson (kcw009@) or Will Burkey (wtb012@).
