Bucknell University Press is celebrating 40 years in publishing. Students, Faculty and Staff are invited to participate in a workshop on scholarly publishing on Tuesday, February 23rd, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in the Traditional Reading Room of the Bertrand Library.
If you are preparing a scholarly manuscript, seek a career in book publishing, or are simply interested in the process by which a book is made, join members of the Press and Bertrand Library for this illustrated and interactive workshop.
We will describe and demonstrate the path from proposal to product, taking in matters of selection, evaluation, preparation, design, and production, as well as the promotion and dissemination that brings the book into the store, your possession, or the library. We will also canvass technological changes affecting the concept of a library and book publishing, including changes in library users, digitalization, and open access.
Lunch will be provided. All are welcome. Please RSVP by February 12th if you will attend: universitypress@bucknell.edu or 577-3674.
