We’re still hiring, and looking for people who love to be outdoors!

Hidden Valley Camp is an international summer camp for children ages 8-14, located on 350 acres in mid-coast Maine. We are looking for staff for our outdoor living/learning programs. Our outdoors programs focus on adventures, community living, leadership development and enjoying the beauty that the state of Maine (and Canada) has to offer.

Staff members lead small groups of teens that have chosen to participate in specific programs. The Adventures program will participate in different wilderness excursions that may include: Whitewater rafting, a weeklong canoe trip, sea kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and camping.

Students anticipating a career that will require organization, teamwork, conflict resolution and a strong work ethic will find Hidden Valley a supportive learning environment with many opportunities to discover their strengths and grow professionally. Our two-week staff training explores issues such as conflict resolution, counseling techniques and the Hidden Valley Camp mission and philosophy. Working at Hidden Valley also provides opportunities to develop skills in the areas of leadership, resourcefulness and community living.

Successful applicants will have experience leading groups in the outdoors or in community service projects, an understanding of group dynamics and how to nurture a group of teens. Lifeguard and Wilderness First Aid certifications are required, though we will help those hired to obtain these if necessary. Applicants who are 21 or over will be given preference for insurance purposes.
