Thinking about a career in law or public policy? Come hear about the experiences of our corps members and alumni who have leveraged their corps experience to jump start impactful careers. This is a great opportunity to hear firsthand from a TFA corps member how the experience has played into a career in public policy.
This event will feature 2008 Bay Area corps member Masharika Prejean. Masharika received her B.A. in Political Economy from Tulane University and her Master’s of Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas-Austin. Prior to joining Teach for America, Masharika served as Special Assistant to the Department Spokesman at the U.S. Department of State where she coordinated and managed the public speaking engagements of former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice when on official travel. Masharika taught 6th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies in San Francisco.
