Institute on Business and Government Affairs – Tisdale Fellowship

The Eben Tisdale Fellowship provides undergraduates from around the country with the opportunity to learn about technology and public policy issues through hands-on experience in Washington, DC. The Fellowship provides students with a full scholarship to attend the Institute on Business and Government Affairs (IBGA) and a $1,000 stipend.

We’ve got another great field trip on October 21st for you centering around sustainability. I know what you are thinking, “Tastykake and Hershey for sustainability?” But we are serious. Did you know that Tastykake is a green bakery? Tastykake took what started as an abandoned industrial site and earned it LEED Silver Certification. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and it is awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED is a rating system for green buildings. Capitol Hill Internship Program

The Capitol Hill Internship Program is a competitive summer internship program that provides a stipend of $300 per week up to $3,000 for students able to secure a Capitol Hill internship provided the internship is unpaid and not for academic credit.  The application process is competitive and the application deadline is Monday, December 8, at 11:59 pm, on the BRIDGE. Operation Smile along with the Pre-Health Society and Bucknell Business Leaders, are hosting Dr. Bill Magee, the Founder and CEO of the global non-profit organization, Operation Smile. Operation Smile funds and performs facial deformity surgeries across the globe. The organization has performed over 200,000 cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries in over 60 countries. Dr. Bill Magee will be speaking on campus, Thursday, October 2nd at 7pm in the ELC Forum.
