Day in the Life: Alex Coleman ’08 2nd Year MBA Student at Babson College

Missed Alex’s takeover on 10/18? Read up on her day.

Thinking of getting an MBA? See what a typical day would be like by following Alex Coleman ’08 on October 18th on @BisonINCareers as she takes us through what it’s like to be a 2nd year MBA student at Babson College, ranked #1 MBA program for entrepreneurship by US News and World Report.

Here’s more about Alex:

Alex Coleman graduated from Bucknell University in 2008 with a degree in Civil Engineering.  At Bucknell Alex founded GLOBE, Global Learning Opportunities for Bucknell Engineers, and was an executive member of her sorority, Pi Beta Phi.  She is looking forward to her five year reunion in May!

Alex is currently a second year MBA student at Babson College, ranked #1 MBA program for entrepreneurship by US News and World Report.   Prior to moving up to Boston for business school, she lived in New York City where she worked for Kiewit Construction, a general contractor, on the Willis Avenue Bridge replacement project.  She came to Babson to transition her career from operations and project finance to business strategy and development.    Alex has pursued studies in the environmental and energy spaces at Bucknell, Semester at Sea, and the Island School in Eleuthera, Bahamas.  Alex is the co-president of the Babson Energy and Environmental Club, an executive board member of the Collegiate Energy Association – New England Chapter, a portfolio manager for the Babson College Fund, a President’s Scholar at Babson College, and a proud supporter of Right to Dream (a charity in Ghana that she works on with fellow Bucknellians).

This past summer, Alex worked on the business case for a new product launch as an MBA intern at Fidelity Investments in the Financial Leadership Program.   This fall, she works at Next Step Living, a residential energy efficiency company, on a pilot launch and new market entrance.  Alex is excited to share her experience with Bucknellians as she transitions her career
