If You’re Doing An Externship…

…go you! But seriously if you are going to be doing an Externship over Winter Break here are a few tips: Make sure you have contacted your sponsor to set up your externship details; like date and time, initial meeting location, directions, parking recommendations, appropriate attire. I bold this for a reason, when in doubt over dress! Suits and business attire always go over well, even in places that may have a more relaxed dress code; jeans, sweatpants, yoga pants not so much. Once all the details are set up – arrive 10 minutes early and HAVE FUN! Take it […]

Missy Gutkowski – a person of the year!

It must have been the article profiling Missy that made this week’s Bucknellian super hot, so hot that it made issues fly off the stands. So fast that it concerned The Bucknellian staff. They posted on Facebook: Most of the copies of our print edition for this week have gone missing, and we suspect that they were stolen. We are currently investigating, but I don’t know when or if more copies will become available.x Now, we know that Bucknell students would never do something like this. Clearly it must have been that everyone wanted to read about Missy. And who […]

2 Minutes Could Give You 2 Days of Awesome

Take 2 minutes to complete this Externship Survey and let us know what you like! Why? Because the Externship Program exposes students to professions they are interested in: PRODUCER, DOCTOR, TEACHER, ENGINEER, SCIENTIST, BANKER, CONSULTANT, ETC and your answers in this survey will help  give us (the CDC) an idea of the locations and industries you are interested for externships. Externships are an amazing “Bucknell signature” program where we help connect students to alumni in a their field of interest for a a 1-2 day job shadow.  You apply to this program in the Fall of your Sophomore year (that’s […]
