Princeton in Africa Fellowships

I’d say that one of the only downsides to this job is learning about all the awesome opportunities out there that I am no longer eligible for. For instance: Princeton in Africa (PiAf), which offers yearlong fellowship opportunities with a variety of organizations that work across the African continent. PiAf Fellows work in service-oriented positions in many different fields, including humanitarian aid, public health, conservation, and education. Bucknell Health Network (BHN) Homecoming Events

This weekend is Homecoming weekend, and the BHN (Bucknell Health Network) has two events planned that you may be interested in. The first is this Friday, October 21 at 5:00 in the Gallery Theater. Dr. Jeff Lewis will be talking about good options for both extracurricular activities as well as summer opportunities that will look good on your application. He is also going to talk about writing the personal statement. Roadtrip Nation making Bucknell a stop on College Campuses Fall Tour

Roadtrip Nation, which produces the public television series “Roadtrip Nation,” has embarked on its 10-year mark of sending students out on the Road to define their own Roads in life by traveling in its Green RV to more than 40 college campuses across the U.S. as part of its annual Fall Tour. Bucknell was one of the stops way back when (I think in 2004…) and they loved the campus so much (who wouldn’t?) they are coming back! Alumni Talk and Lunch: Federal Hiring – Understanding the Process

Ali (Zimmerer) Rivera ’08, Contract Specialist, Department of Homeland Security will be back on campus for Homecoming and is hosting a talk and luncheon outlining the Federal Hiring Process on Friday, October 21 at Noon in the Willard Smith Library (Vaughn Literature Building). The Capitol Hill Internship Program is a competitive summer internship program that provides a stipend of $300 per week up to $3,000 for students able to secure a Capitol Hill internship provided the internship is unpaid and not for academic credit.
