Advice & Tips on Working for and Applying to Federal Agencies

Raj Thangavelu ’98, member of the Alumni Board and the Bucknell Public Interest Program (BPIP) Advisory Committee, will be back on campus for Homecoming weekend.  Raj is a longtime federal employee who works in the Washington metro area.  He graduated from Bucknell with a B.A. in Politics and Economics and obtained his MPA from the University of Texas, Austin. He will be offering two programs while he is here.

  1. Working for the Federal Housing Finance Agency
    Wednesday, November 1, 5:00-6 pm, ELC 217, Refreshments will be served.
    Raj Thangavelu ’98 and panelists will discuss working for a federal agency and moderate a panel of several students who have had paid summer internships with FHFA.
  2. Federal Hiring and How To Use USAJobs.gov
    Thursday, November 2, 12:00-12:50 pm, ELC Center Room, Lunch provided – RSVP on Bridge by 11/1
    Raj will show students how to use USAJobs.gov website and build a federal resume.
