Working for a Federal Agency – Advice & Tips from Alumnus Raj Thangavelu ’98

Raj Thangavelu ’98, member of the Alumni Board and the Bucknell Public Interest Program (BPIP) Advisory Committee, will be back on campus for Homecoming weekend.  Raj is a longtime federal employee who works in the Washington metro area.  He graduated from Bucknell with a B.A. in Politics and Economics and obtained his MPA from the University of Texas, Austin. He will be offering two programs and conducting mock interviews while he is here.

    Wednesday, October 19, 5:30-7 pm, ELC 217, Refreshments will be served.
    Raj Thangavelu ’98 will discuss the Federal Housing Finance Agency as well as working and interning in a federal agency along with 4 Bucknellians who interned with FHFA this summer. Summer 2016 Bucknell interns attending:

  2. Federal Hiring and How To Use USAJobs.gov
    Thursday, Oct 20, 12:00-12:50 pm, ELC 241 AB, Lunch provided – RSVP on Bridge by 10/19
    Raj will show students how to use USAJobs.gov website and build a federal resume.

Raj will also be available for individual appointments at the CDC on Thursday October 20th to review resumes, conduct mock interviews.
