Pinterest and Job Searching

NACE (our our national professional association) recently published a great article on “Using Pinterest as a Job-Search and Branding Tool.” Since we are on Pinterest we love the idea of using it, in general, and for your job search.

Just because we think this is a fun idea does not mean you need to do it or it is essential for your job search but we wanted to share the idea with you in case you’d like to explore it.

Here is a quick excerpt:

“The arts, graphic design, marketing, and other heavily visual majors will probably find using Pinterest for their job search to be easy and straightforward,” Reynolds says. “Students in more traditional majors—business, social and life sciences, and others—will need to be more creative in their use of Pinterest.”

In the full article, Reynolds offers some easy tips for college students using or interested in using Pinterest as a personal branding or job-search tool. We suggest you read the full article (it’s short I promise!) and decide if using Pinterest is right for your job search…and in the meantime check out our boards for more tips: pinterest.com/bucknellcareer/
