A lot of students think that internships at Bucknell can only happen during the summer…well we just got a heads up on a chance to be the Barnes & Noble College Campus Ambassador – giving you a chance to make money, build your resume and gain valuable skills all while on-campus! We are looking to hire an outgoing, well-connected, creative, and hard-working student at Bucknell University to serve as a brand ambassador for Barnes & Noble College, your on-campus bookstore. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable marketing and public relations experience while working closely with a top NY social media agency, Mr Youth.

Position Title: Barnes & Noble College Campus Representative
Position Duration:
Fall 2011 (August 1, 2011) through Spring 2012 (May 15, 2012)
Compensation:
$750 stipend per semester with opportunity to earn an average of $1,500+ of additional incentive money

Program Overview:

Barnes & Noble College is searching for creative, entrepreneurial and well-connected, social savvy students to be a part of an exciting and rewarding marketing program on campus this year. Your goal will be to demonstrate how your on-campus Barnes & Noble College bookstore is an academic and retail ally to students through a series of events, online promotions, presentations and other efforts.

As Campus Ambassador, you’ll develop mini marketing plans and events, with the guidance of a marketing manager, while strengthening your leadership skills and building your resume working with a major brand. You’ll earn money by promoting and networking during the Fall ‘11 and Spring ‘12 semesters – all on campus and on your own time!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating campus events to gain more visibility for Barnes & Noble College as an academic ally
  • Completing brief class presentations and online sharing about bookstore offerings
  • Distributing promotional posters, flyers and giveaways
  • Reporting to a Program Manager via RepNation management portal
